Satake Develops Alpha-Processed Pasta

Instant Pasta ready in minutes

Magic Pasta (Fusilli)

Satake Corporation has developed Magic Pasta, a high quality alpha-processed instant pasta with excellent texture.
This pasta is easy to prepare and takes only 2-3 minutes. Satake started selling this product on June 1st, 2007, primarily to food manufacturers.

There is no need to boil Magic Pasta on the stove; just pour hot water into the bowl and wait.
In the past, alpha-processed instant pasta had to be imported from abroad, mainly from Europe and Asia.
However, some of those products had poor texture, became soft or discolored in water, or made the hot water cloudy.
The market demanded tasty, high quality instant pasta, and Satake delivered.
“Magic pasta” solves all these problems by applying technologies Satake cultivated in processing “Magic Rice” and sorting foreign materials.
There are three types of instant pasta, Fusilli, Penne and Macaroni, allowing customers to choose the product that best suits their needs.
Upon request, spinach, tomatoes or pumpkins can be mixed into the pasta dough, further increasing Magic Pasta's flexibility.
Although these products are not available to the public, Satake's first-year target is 300 tons in sales, principally to food manufacturers.
