Satake Unveils “Cooking Meister,” an Industrial IH Cooking Unit

Jointly Developed by Satake and 3 Electric Companies

Satake and 3 electric companies (Tokyo Electric Power Company Inc., Chubu Electric Power Company Inc., and Chugoku Electric Power Company Inc.) have co-developed an IH Cooking Unit named Cooking Meister for organizations which cook specific amounts of rice at a time, such as schools, hospitals and caterers.

The Cooking Meister has 3 IH heaters-one at the bottom of the kettle and two on the sides-which are controlled by 2 inverters(*1). The strong convection flow inside the kettle formed by intensive heat pattern control makes it possible to cook rice evenly while maximizing its flavor. Each unit consists of 2 kettles which share a single inverter to control the IH heaters positioned at the sides of the kettle, reducing initial cost. The Cooking Meister has very few protrusions on its surface and features additional space at the bottom of the unit for easy cleaning.

In addition to promoting the Cooking Meister, Satake will proactively provide consultation services about the rice cooking process to customers who are considering introducing or replacing industrial cooking units.

(*1)An inverter is a device which controls the amount of amperage provided to a heating coil. The IH Cooker cooks rice using the heat of magnetic fields generated by amperage supplied to the heating coils.
