Satake has released the optical sorter "Pellet Sorter DS", able to remove the rejected products of speck or different colour from raw materials for plastic pellets.
Satake introduced the optical sorter "Pellet Sorter" for use with both transparent and opaque plastic pellets in 2009. Since then we have worked at creating a new improved optical sorter focusing in particular on increasing sorting efficiency with opaque plastic pellets.
The newly introduced "Pellet Sorter DS" is tuned to applications with opaque plastic pellets. Dual cameras ensure that input raw materials can be checked from both sides during sorting. Sorting efficiency is therefore increased when used with opaque plastic pellets.
It uses highly accurate CCD cameras with a resolution of 0.06mm in the sorting section as well as the existing model. It is therefore able to see even the smallest surface speck or contamination. Its processing capacity is 4t/h at maximum, providing high sorting efficiency.
Prospective markets include plastic pellet manufacturer and plastic recycling.

Features
Structure
Front and rear cameras are able to see plastic pellets one by one as they are flowing down the belt conveyor. Compressed air from the ejector removes the raw materials as rejected products or foreign materials.
