This environmental business exposition is hosted by Nippo Business Corporation. It was the 22nd time this exhibition has been held and the largest. The theme was “Developing the Environment Business” and the purpose was to improve environmental protection, stabilize national livelihood and develop the environmental industry by displaying various environmental technologies and services for environmental problems.
Satake displayed and demonstrated the "Recycle Sorter" that sorts glass into three colors: clear, brown and other colors based on the Containers/Packaging Recycling Act of Japan. A transparent bin with a colored film can be sorted using digital image processing of images taken by color cameras and monochromatic cameras, a difficult task for conventional sorters. (Patent pending)
Satake also exhibited panels on "Biomass Pellet Manufacturing Plants" and "Biomass Gasification Electric Power Generation Plants" as solutions for energy conservation.
