Today, Satake manufactures and sells equipment for every stage of food production to more than 140 countries. Satake supplies information and complete technology solutions for rice and wheat to consumers around the globe. In response to the needs of its customers, Satake has now entered into the environmental business sector. Satake now develops and promotes composting plants, composting units for home and industrial use, warehouses which use snow/ice, warehouses for brown rice, and other products.

A completion ceremony was held on July 9, 2001 for a new composting plant at Kijimadaira Village in Nagano prefecture. The new plant boasts stable compost production with low operating costs thanks to “breathing” microbial fermentation method and Satake’s original state-of-the-art measurement control system. Customer interest in the composting plant is very high and Satake receives many inquiries as environmental protection has become a big social issue.
